UNIQUE APPROACH These methods are not known to be used by any other artist.

In the first method he creates a large sand bed that becomes his "canvas". Using spoons and tubes shaped to imitate brush strokes, he "paints" with dry sand on the "canvas". Once he completed the painting, he applies glue to glass, and places it on the painting. The first part of this method closely represents that used by the medicine men of the Navajo Red Indians and the Aboriginals of Australia.

The second (and very new) method he pre-mix sand with glue and use a pallet knife to apply the sand.
