Traditional Technique. This method, where clear glue is fist applied to the painting surface, and the sand then applied. is used by most sand artist. Aussie uses this method on paper, canvas, board, stone and glass. Loose Sand Technique The second method is to paint with the lose sand fist, and then apply the glue to the painting surface and transfer the completed painting to this surface. This method lens itself to portrait studies. The Pre Mix Technique The sand and glue is mixed and then applied by pallet knife or paint brush.
